What is Pitra Dosha

When Sun and Rahu forms conjunction in the Ninth house then Pitra Dosha is formed in the birth chart.
The ninth house in the birth chart is the house of fortune and it's important house, as this house is also known for the house of forefathers and manes.

Manes are known as Pitra in Hindu religion. Pitra, those people who died unnatural death and did not get salvation. Due to this Pitra Dosha is Formed.

Manes who are creating problems also want to get relief from Pitra Yoni. This Dosha is formed if the young generation does not perform any responsibilities for their Manes. If this Dosha is present in the horoscope, the person gets delayed support of his luck and he has to struggle a lot to achieve success on each and every work front.

In simple words, a Pitra Dosh is formed in the horoscope of a person, when their forefathers have committed some mistakes, crimes or sins. In return, this person is hypothetical to pay  the Karmic debt by going through unusual punishments decided for those debts in different phases of his life. He has to undergo this until the debts are cleared either by way of taking the punishment or by the way of good acts (Karma) in deed. Vedic seers describes like this yoga is formed according to the sins of previous birth.

Casuses of Pitra Dosha

Pitra Dosh occurs when the soul of our ancestors and departed forefathers does not get peace (shanti) due to any of the following main reason, and there may be others.

Bad deeds ( bad karma ) of our ancestors and children in earlier life, knowingly or unknowingly, are embarrassing their souls.

Lack of fulfillment of parental desires of our forefathers.

A unnatural death , Sudden Death of any relative ancestors in early age, this can be explained like. Drugging, death in unknown places and the body not available for cremation, one or the other reason antim sanskar can not be performed due to unknown circumstances.

If someone fails to remember and honor the ancestors properly, according to Vedic Method.

If certain wishes are remained attached with the soul of the ancestors, etc.

It is stated in the ancient text that Pitra Dosh occurs if any ancestors up to the 7th generation-on the father's side and up to the 4th generation on the mother's side have expired at an early age or had an unnatural death.
