Tips to Reduce Exam Stress.

Well this is the crucial period of examinations,students find themselves in Comparisons, expectations and parental expectations, which creates some peer pressure and concerns for students appearing their board exams. This situation, leads the students in to exam stress .

In simple words, exam stress can be expressed as “feeling of anxiety" over one's performance in the exams, reaction of parents and friends over results; which leads students to create exam stress.

Students and parents can also alleviate the stress. Preparing early and establishing a realistic study plan can help restore the wonder and magic of the season. Prepare a schedule that will allow the time to process, reprocess and finally retain the information.

Using effective Study techniques,Talking to teachers and parents about their observations will defiantly play an important role in your exam preparations. Not all suggestions or methodologies may helpful for each and every student.

For students who are appearing for Board exams, here are some important tips which can help in to reduce the Exam stress. 
 
Negative Thinking

Avoid negative thinking and Negative thoughts, which plays a important role in creating Exam Stress. Don't think how exam is difficult, how long is to study, and how hard to acquire necessary knowledge to get success for a prosperous future. Think over the positive side of the situation and evaluate the advantages of passing the exam. Only by positive thinking and focus on goals one can reduce the Exam Stress. Spend time with people who have a positive effects. It will rub off on you.

Self Confidence

This is exactly reverse of Negative thinking. student doesn't perceive there skills and capabilities good enough to success in exam. Low Self Confidence comes from the subjective, and usually results in fear that student has doubt of passing the exam. Therefore it is important for student to get higher self confidence in the examination period.

Avoid caffeine

Although a cup of coffee or a soft drink may seem like a good think, But caffeine in these drinks may increase stress levels and reduces the quantity and quality of sleep you requires. It also reduces your concentration power.

Get lot of rest.

Lack of sleep will results in reducing the retention power, even the most basic information which require to success in exam. So try get plenty of rest.

Study in a comfortable area.

A person's surroundings must be comfortable, No noises, well-lighted and free of distractions. Avoid areas where the lighting is poor or the temperature is uncomfortably high or low.

Take time to renew.
 
As comfortable as your study setting may be, you need to go away for short time to renew and refresh. A change of scenery, a movie or a walk can do wonders to give your body and mind time to Preserve the information studied and to renew and prepare for more.

What to eat

Food rich in vitamins and proteins, such as green leafy vegetables and fresh fruits, are a must. The nutrients will help your brain stay sharp. Avoid food with high fat content. Don't drink too much coffee, tea or fizzy drinks. Caffeine will keep you up and reduce the clarity of your thinking.
If you believe in God, pray before you start studying. Prayer will help you increase confidence reduce your stress as well. 
 
And yes, lots of luck will help you in getting the success in exams.
